The AdLock blog explains how online ads work, how to block them, and how ads are used to track and attack people. This page describes who writes our articles, how we check them, and what to do if you find a mistake.
Who writes for the AdLock blog
Every article is written by a member of the AdLock team and published under that person’s real name. Our authors build and run AdLock: a developer, the Product Owner and a technical writer. Each author page lists the person’s role, the topics they cover and links to their public profiles. You can meet the team here: Kostiantyn Shebanov, Anton Minaev, Fedir Lopatin.

How we use AI
We use AI tools for research and proofreading, for example to find sources, summarize long reports or catch typos. Articles are written by the named author, who checks every fact, runs the steps in the guide and is responsible for the final text. We do not use AI-generated photos of people or invented authors.
Facts and sources
We check claims against primary sources: research reports, vendor security advisories, official documentation and app store pages. When an article relies on a specific source, we link to it. If we cannot confirm a claim, we leave it out. Numbers and quotes are taken from the original source, not from other articles that repeat them.
How we test instructions
Step-by-step guides are tested before publishing on current operating systems and devices, including Windows 11, Android, iOS, Chrome, and Safari. Screenshots are taken during that test. If a step depends on a specific app version, we say so in the guide.
Updates and dates
Each article shows its publication date. When we make a meaningful change, such as new steps after an app update, a corrected fact or a new section, we add an “Updated” date. Fixing a typo or a broken link does not count as an update. We revisit guides after major changes to the apps and sites they cover.
Our product and independence
AdLock is our own product, and we mention it where it solves the problem an article describes. We also explain free methods and built-in settings that work without AdLock.
Corrections
If you find a mistake or an outdated step, email us at info@adlock.com with the subject “Correction” and a link to the article. We review every report and fix confirmed errors within 5 business days. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the article.
